Insurance and Costs
Do you accept insurances?
Allay Therapy is not in-network with any insurance companies and does not accept any insurances directly. However, we are eligible out-of-network providers.
What does out-of-network mean?
Out-of-network generally means you could be reimbursed a percentage of the session fee you paid if you have out-of-network benefits. We can provide a receipt of services, or Superbill, to you after sessions that you can then submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
How do I know if I have out-of-network benefits?
One of the easiest ways to determine if you have out-of-network benefits is to call the members/customer services number located on the back of your insurance card. The representative you talk to should be able to provide you with information on whether you are eligible for out-of-network benefits, the amount you would be reimbursed and if you have a deductible. If you would like additional support navigating out-of-network benefits, we are happy to help.
Why do you not accept insurances directly?
Although utilizing insurance can sometimes be more affordable up front, it often comes with limitations that can impact your care and treatment. For example, benefits through many insurance companies require a diagnosis in order to be eligible for care and determine how long, how often and when we can meet. We believe your care and treatment should be just that, yours.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Sliding scale availability is reserved for a small portion of our practice. If this is something you are in need of, please inquire upon consultation.
How often do we meet and for how long?
Sessions are typically scheduled for 50 minutes on a weekly basis. We can provide services at a higher or lesser frequency on a case-by-case basis if we determine it is clinically appropriate and our schedules can accommodate. Please note that meeting less than once a week is typically only a good fit for patients that we have been working with us for an extended period of time as a transition-down model. As a practice, we prioritize working with a smaller amount of patients to ensure that we can provide the best care possible.
Is there a cancellation fee?
For appointments cancelled more than 24 hours in advance, there is no cancellation fee. If you are unable to provide 24 hours notice, you would be responsible for the full session fee.
